What about financial aid?

Currently, students are responsible for securing funds to enroll in the program and attend school. They have to cover all their expenses for the entire stay in Bulgaria.

 

Are there any scholarships?

There are no scholarships for international students.

 

How much does it cost to go to university in Bulgaria?

Tuition fee is 7000 euro per year, payable in two equal parts per each semester.

The monthly living cost will vary according to the lifestyle of the student. University housing is available for approximately 70 euro. To rent an apartment or room in apartment 100-300 euro. Living expenses: 200-400 euro.

Living costs do not include books and study materials costs (pen, pencils, computers) and are depend on the student’s lifestyle. These costs are approximate and are subject to change.

 

How can I pay the fees to the University?

The students should pay the tuition fee directly to the university in cash or electronically from their bank account.

 

Once I have been accepted, how I will get to the University?

A representative of the University with car picks up the newly-arrived students at the Sofia international airport and assist them with accommodation at the Student’s hostel. There is additional charge for this option 70 euro. Educational department should be informed at least one week prior about the flight details.

 

Must I stay at the hostel?

Students are not obliged to stay at the hostel. Students may rent a room or an apartment at the University campus.

 

What is the official language of Bulgaria?

The official language of Bulgaria is Bulgarian, and most of the people also speak English, German or French.

 

Can I use credit card in Bulgaria? Where will I have a bank account?

In Bulgaria most of the hotels, supermarkets and other shopping venues accept credit cards. Commonly accepted credit cards are: MasterCard, VISA, VISA Electron. The student can open an account in many banks in Bulgaria and around the university.

 

What about phones, Internet, e-mails?

The student can have a telephone at his/her apartment, or he/she can buy a cellular telephone. Any tri-band GSM phone will work. The student simply needs to buy the “SIM” card for service. There are computer rooms with free access to internet at the University
